Hunter, a skilled IT specialist, is hired by Johnston Biotek, known simply as the Corporation. Tasked with repairing the network of a remote mining facility, he fails and is trapped underground after an explosion.

There, a man named Toadstool reveals that a rogue hacker has seized control of the underground system. Abandoned by the Corporation, Hunter must navigate treacherous tunnels, evade digital threats, and battle hostile forces to reach the surface. Along the way, he encounters Kathryn, a mysterious ally who aids him sporadically. His journey is fraught with danger, including encounters with a ruthless underground prison colony.
