Need For Speed: Most Wanted is a cross-platform racing video game developed by EA Black Box and first released by Electronic Arts on November 15, 2005 in the United States. It is part of the Need for Speed video game series.

The game reintroduces police chases into illegal racing-oriented gameplay, with some (but not all) customization options from the Need for Speed: Underground series. The game is followed by Need for Speed: Carbon, which serves as a sequel to Most Wanted.

Apart from earning money and respect with the completed events, the player must increase his notoriety, reputation and raise the level of attention that the police have towards the vehicles. This is achieved with some challenges imposed by each rival to reach the level of attention and the position in the Blacklist.
