About This Game
Half-Life is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation, this being the company’s debut game and the first of what would later become the Half-Life series.
The plot of Half-Life takes place at the Black Mesa Research Facility, New Mexico, in an indeterminate chronological order, dealing with the particular circumstances of the various scientists and members of the facility’s security unit and the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit known as H.E.C.U. (Hazardous Environment Combat Unit in English),
which has been constituted to enter the facilities and eliminate any individual capable of testifying about any incident that occurred. The protagonist is a 27-year-old scientist named Gordon Freeman, specialized in theoretical physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who has to carry out an experiment with a sample of an unknown mineral, in the antimass spectrometer of Sector C (Materials Anomalous) from Black Mesa Labs.
