About This Game
Aliens: Colonial Marines is a first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sega. The game is based on the popular Alien film saga, especially on the second installment of the same Aliens, the return.
The game opens with a transmission sent from the USS Sulaco shortly before the end of the Aliens tape, showing a wounded Corporal Dwayne Hicks reporting that his unit has suffered heavy casualties on LV-426, stating that he, two humans (Ellen Ripley and the girl Newt) and a damaged synthetic (Bishop) have been the only survivors of the mission and are requesting assistance.
Seventeen weeks after the events of the second and third parts of the Alien saga, the Sulaco’s sister ship, the USS Sephora, arrives at LV-426 to aid and rescue the survivors of the Sulaco (which is in orbit around LV-426 despite last being seen in orbit of Fury 161), with a group of 300 Marines on board.
