About This Game
Dragon Age II is a role-playing video game created by BioWare, sequel to Dragon Age: Origins. In the same mythical world introduced in Dragon Age: Origins, the player assumes the role of Hawke, a human (mage, warrior, or rogue) who arrives to the city of Kirkwall as a humble refugee, and who will finally receive the title of “Champion” within a turbulent decade filled with political and social conflicts.
Set in the mythical world of Thedas, Dragon Age II tells the story of Hawke, a human who fled from his home nation of Ferelden, parallel to the events of Dragon Age: Origins. After crossing the Sea of Awakening, the protagonist arrived at one of the most important cities of the Free Marches: Kirkwall.
In the span of a decade, Hawke grew in power and influence, making him the legendary “Champion of Kirkwall” and becoming one of the most iconic figures in the city. Dragon Age II focuses on the Hawke’s rise to power and develops the plot in a framed narrative style.
