About This Game
Tomb Raider 2013 is an Action-Adventure Platform video game developed by Crystal Dynamics. It is the ninth title in the Tomb Raider series and the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics. The game chronicles the intense and conflicted origins of Lara Croft and her transformation from scared young woman to hardened survivor.
At the beginning of the story Lara shows fear of danger, as she lacks confidence in her own abilities and judgment. Even so, we already see germs of what will be the future Lara. The game takes place on Yamatai, an island in the Dragon’s Triangle off the coast of Japan.
The island and the kingdom that once existed there is shrouded in mystery, due to the storms and ocean currents that surround it. Yamatai was ruled by the Queen of the Sun, named Himiko, who, according to legend, had mystical powers that allowed her to control the weather.
