Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy is a first- and third-person shooter video game set in the Star Wars universe. A new feature of the saga is that the player can modify the gender and appearance of their character, and can build a lightsaber by choosing the style of hilt and color of the blade.

The player takes control of the character Jaden Korr, a student at the Jedi Academy under the tutelage of Kyle Katarn. They must complete various missions assigned by Katarn and Luke Skywalker.

There is a multiplayer mode that allows the player to play against other people on a network. The graphics are relatively good compared to the year it was released. The fighting system is based on continuous real-time combat.
