Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is an action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Capcom and distributed by it in collaboration with THQ Asia Pacific.

The game’s story follows Chris Redfield, one of the survivors of the Spencer Mansion disaster. He is sent along with Sheva Alomar to investigate a terrorist threat in Kijuju, a fictional town located on the African continent.

Arriving at that place, they are attacked by its inhabitants who have been infected by a strange kind of virus that makes them violent. Like other titles in the series, the game is an action-adventure survival horror game.
