The player assumes the role of the Prince, who despite his nickname, was not born in royalty. The Prince is accompanied by a girl named Elika, whom he met deviant from his course after a large sandstorm that caused him to end up in a mysterious land. Players traverse many different environments using the character’s acrobatic abilities to scale walls and even crawl on rooftops. Through the journey, players battle various enemies as they attempt to cleanse the land of corruption. The argument of the game and the atmosphere lend themselves strongly to Zoroastrianism.
