About This Game
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is a third-person platform video game released in 2003, based on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, second and third parts of Peter Jackson’s film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings.
The game is similar to its predecessor The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, but differs in the inclusion of several story lines, use of more characters and increased interaction with the different environments. The video game follows three different story arcs based on the events that occurred in the film.
A cooperative game mode is available for some missions. The Return of the King is a hack and slash action game. The game is similar to its predecessor The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The levels are double the size of the largest of The Two Towers and are less linear.
