Lords of The Fallen is a third-person action role-playing video game. The game has been compared to Dark Souls in its slow-paced tactical approach to combat gameplay, with enemies and locations difficult to overcome.

The player takes the role of Harkyn who from the beginning can adapt to the player’s preferred combat styles from a range of different classes, each with their own specializations in weapons, armor, certain spells and abilities.

A class is determined based on two broad choices of three types of magic; fights, deception and consolation, followed by the second choice of three different armor sets; warrior, archer and cleric.
