Halo: Spartan Assault is a top-down action video game belonging to the Halo saga. Developed by Vanguard Games (in collaboration with 343 Industries) it is a top-down shooter containing 25 missions set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4.

The game explores the first missions of Project Spartan-IV. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions also feature a special cooperative multiplayer mode.

It takes place between the events of Halo 3 in 2553 and those of Halo 4 in 2557, while the whereabouts of the Master Chief were unknown (who is in serious requiem creogenic sleep). It follows the missions of the Spartans who fight against the Covenant. You control Commander Sarah Palmer or Spartan Davis.
