Codename: Outbreak (also known as Venom: Codename: Outbreak) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World and published by Virgin Interactive. Set in the 21st century, the game begins with a meteor shower delivering parasitic alien life forms that seize control of hosts, triggering a rapidly expanding invasion. Spanning 14 levels, players combat the alien threat in various scenarios. The story opens with a U.S. investigation team vanishing after the meteor crash. Captain Wilson’s unit is ambushed by infected comrades, leading to a climactic escape attempt. The screen fades to black as chaos unfolds.
