About This Game
BioShock is an action and first-person shooter video game and the third installment of the BioShock franchise. The game is not a direct sequel to the previous two installments, taking place and time before the events that occurred in the aforementioned, but still retaining the same essence in gameplay elements and aesthetic structure as far as setting is concerned.
Set in the year 1912, the player will control Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent in his attempt to rescue a woman named Elizabeth, who is trapped aboard Columbia, a decaying floating city on the verge of collapse.
The main location of BioShock is a city called Columbia that is suspended in the air by giant balloons, blimps and some kind of thrusters that work on the basis of a principle similar to the Meissner-Ochsenfeld effect that allows quantum levitation.
