Battlefield 3 is a modern military first-person shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, released for PC in 2011. Built on the Frostbite 2 engine, it combines a cinematic single-player campaign with cooperative missions and large-scale multiplayer battles featuring infantry, tanks, helicopters, jets, and other vehicles. Its destructible environments and expansive maps give firefights a dynamic, unpredictable character, while class-based equipment and vehicle progression add depth to multiplayer combat. The PC version also received five major expansions, including Back to Karkand, Armored Kill, Aftermath, and End Game, expanding the maps, weapons, vehicles, and modes available. Version 1.6.0 represents a later updated release of this landmark Battlefield experience.
