A Steam-exclusive version was released in early 2010 under the name Aliens Vs Predator Classic 2000 in commemoration of the release of the new version of the game, Aliens vs. Predator 3. Aliens versus Predator was re-released on January 15, 2010.
It was renamed Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000, and was optimized to run on modern computers and support for Xbox 360 controllers was added. The game initially did not have multiplayer support, but this functionality was added with a patch days after its release.
