About This Game
Age of Empires (now known as Age of Empires I) is a real-time strategy video game for personal computers, the first in the eponymous series, released on October 26, 1997, and set in a 3,000-year timeline, from the early Stone Age to the Iron Age.
The game has an expansion called “The Rise of Rome”, with more civilizations, units, and technologies. Save games in the normal game (not in the expansion) can be loaded from the same and also from the expansion.
