Ground Zeroes is the first part of Metal Gear Solid V, working as a prologue to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Set in 1975 sometime after the events of Peace Walker, the player again controls Naked Snake (Big Boss) leading his renegade organization Militaires Sans Frontieres (MSF), infiltrating an American detention center located in Cuba, called Camp Omega. .

Snake’s main goal is to retrieve Cipher agent Paz Ortega and young Sandinista soldier Chico, both of whom were involved with Snake during the events of Peace Walker.
