Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, commonly abbreviated as MGS3, is an action-adventure and infiltration video game directed by Hideo Kojima and produced by the Konami Computer Entertainment Japan subsidiary.
The game takes place in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The story of Snake Eater follows an American spy codenamed Naked Snake, whose mission is to rescue a defected Soviet scientist, destroy a experimental military weapon and assassinate his former mentor.
