About This Game
Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is a role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic future during the 22nd century. It is the first video game in the Fallout saga to be released in 1997. The game reflects the post-nuclear paranoia during the 1950s.
The game is set in the year 2161 in southern California, in a scenario in which the United States has been involved in a Third World War with nuclear weapons, which has degenerated the earth into a post-apocalyptic world in the style of from Mad Max.
The protagonist of Fallout is an inhabitant of one of the anti-nuclear bunkers (known as Vaults) built by a technology company called Vault-Tec with the idea of preserving human life until the nuclear winter has ended.
